Access Cab sliders

I'm looking to pick up some sliders for my extended cab and I think I've settled on CBI's non slide-out variation: http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/produc...products/bolt-on-rock-sliders-2nd-gen-tacoma/

My biggest reasoning for wanting sliders is for a hi-lift jack point, for which I see they say both bolt on and weld on will support.

My only question is, does one have a lesser impact on the integrity of the frame? I'm curious as to if either will create a point for rust to form over time. Is this a valid concern?

 

A poor weld will definitely cause a rust point. If your welder (or you) is a competent guy then prime and paint after the weld will be fine. Bolt on should not be an issue with rust if all contact points are free of damage to existing paint.

 

Definitely check out @Mobtown Offroad before you buy. Quality stuff.

Getting my CBI (bolt on) sliders installed next week. Is there adjustability of the angle to the cab, or would that only really apply for weld-ons? Just wanting to make sure it's something I address to the shop if needed.
