Glade springs is closer to them than Chilhowie. my family is from mill creek. I have so much family there. My great grandfather had a mill there after he sold the big one in Damascus. I have a door from old homestead as a barn door in my living room. The forest has taken back the house.
    Small world.

    Happy Thanksgiving all.

    Good morning to all and
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
I am thankful for so many things.

Make no mistake I'm a pain in the ass.
But sometimes I have to reflect on how good I have it.
    I'm not rich.
    I'm in constant pain
    I don't give a shit
I get really pissed at stupidity and no common sense.
But i have a wife who loves me unconditionally.
A son anyone would be proud of.
I can do things most people can't even begin accomplish. (At least for now lol)
    I know right from wrong.

Most recently I am thankful for the people I have met here.
When all you do is see and hear the negativity of someone in my position ,
Your outlook of the world is tainted.
Along with traveling and racing with Bob over the years, being here has
    Enlightened me no end.
To share with me the good and the bad is an honor I do not take lightly.
Yes it is "social media". But in this particular forum it has become more.
So to all of you that converse with me, I thank you.
May today in some small way bring a smile to your face and a warm feeling
in your heart if only for a moment.

    NOW GO STUFF YOUR FACES.....

Had a blast playing dominoes last night . He still has a hard time beating me. But I come home and my wife beats me bad. So telling him that makes him happy.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
LOL... And I was thinking the same thing. Especially this part:

Make no mistake I'm a pain in the ass. - Check
But sometimes I have to reflect on how good I have it. - Check
    I'm not rich. - Check
I'm in constant pain - Check
    I don't give a shit - Check
I get really pissed at stupidity and no common sense. - Check
But i have a wife who loves me unconditionally. - Check
A daughter anyone would be proud of. - Check
I know right from wrong. - Check

    And this:

Most recently I am thankful for the people I have met here.

    Thanks y'awl!
