My Tacos is hopefully on the back of a vehicle carrier somewhere between the factory and Ct at this point in time. I have an ETD for late this week/early next week.

    But Thanksgiving might delay.

Anything but a fat bike is a girls bike. Might as well drive an auto.

It definitely gets stiffer and more sluggish. Not sure Ive noticed it being supper difficult though. Ive thought about better fluid for cold weather performance.

OK. serious question. I know nothing about bikes. What makes these fat tires bikes so great. All I know about them is everytime I see one I want to buy it but have no clue why.

Remember being a kid and riding your bike? It's like that. Riding these goofy things just puts a big stupid smile on your face.

Wassup everyone! New to the forum. Im glad i fojnd manh other who'd rather have the MT over the AT anyday. Got my truck almost 3 months ago and a lot of my friends say it was a bad idea getting it in MT. They also drive tacomas, a few 2nd and few 3rd gen. I dont regret my decision at all!

Might have some useful info for you! Ive been through stock toyota, redline mt85 and mt90, as well as my most recent change I went with Ford's motorcraft XT-M5-QS with a serving of Z-max transmission microlubricant. This is BY FAR the best oil of the lot and what I will be keeping now. Shifts are smoother, engagement is crisper and with less grinding, or notchy shifts, or anything of that nature. Just a nice, smooth lock into gear pretty much every time. Ive noticed rev matching seems to be a bit easier with the new transmission fluid as well. Its been about 40 degrees out every time ive started it since switching to motorcraft, which is usually where my tranmission would be a little tight and notchy until warmed up with the MT85 I had before, but the motorcraft stuff is much better in the cold. Heres a link to Amazon prime https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Ford...1&sr=1-1&keywords=genuine+ford+fluid+XT-M5-QS .
Yes, its pricey, but the oil supposedly lasts the life of the transmission so if it gets anywhere near that i dont mind the $25 a quart up front.

Yeah thats normal. You could lessen the effects of it a bit by replacing the rubber line in between the master cylinder and the chassis hard line with a SS braided hose but if it doesnt bug you as much as it did me then nothing to worry about

I am in high Point nc and Virginia Beach in the summers. I ran a whole winter and summer with mt90 and thought it was pretty good all around. I ran MT85 for a little in the summer and in the winter and it performed best when it was hot out, had a 4-5 min warm up time in winter where shifts would crunch every time and have to shift super slow. So far, and as I said it's been cold every day, the motor craft fluid has the best cold weather performance of the lot by far. Cold starts are no longer an issue and there's hardly any if any warm up time at all. Also, I drove 300ish miles the other day straight with the motor craft fluid and didn't have any crunchy shifts at all so it still works in high temperature situations too.

I have always been a manual guy and nice to see there is a place for us... New to the Toyota world too. Is there anything special with the 5 speed manual trans for the 4 cylinder motor and what mileage interval should it be changed at?

So I had a 2017 OR 6spd man on order and the dealership just called saying it's been two months and they can't get it. So they're refunding me my deposit.

They have automatics, but if the stick is offered, it's not even a quaestion what I want. I'll be traveling up north this weekend to either get a sport or an off road.

My question is... mechanically wise. What is the major difference between the 6spd off road and the 6spd Sport? Any info will help. Thanks!!!

Sport...fake hood scoop and street tuned suspension.
OR...rear locker and Offroad tuned suspension.

Different wheels and decals. I think those are the only differences.

I think both of them get hill start assist IF you get the automatic. Neither of them get hill start assist if you get the manual. In the screenshots, the Sport is a manual, the OR is an auto:
