    On a 1st gen, a 24F is the largest size that will fit in the stock location. Where were you thinking of mounting the second battery?

    A quick search on Northstar website shows that both these batteries fit: NSB-AGM-24F and NSM-AGM-35. Would that a mistake, you think?
    I am planning to mount the second on the passenger side firewall. I am currently doing some research on where to install for first gen and did not decide yet.

    A 35 has less capacity the a 24F but I'm sure either size will work. I chose to use 24Fs because of the capacity and because the positive/negative post location. I'd suggest 2 of the same size either way. If you have the room over the passenger fender (no ABS controller there) that is a convenient location for the house battery.

    I do. House battery is in the bed. Used 00 gauge with a BlueSea ML-ACR controller. No room in my engine bay.

    I placed an order for two NSB-AGM-24F. Planning to use one as a starter battery and another for applications in cab. I did some research and I found that deep cycle battery can be used as a starter battery without a problem. Am I wasting money here just ordering another 24F instead of just getting a regular starter and better off with it?

    @Digiratus you mentioned about using two 24Fs too. Is one of them used as a starter battery. Could you please share your experience?

    Yes, the Northstar AGM can easily handle starting duties and also be used in deep discharge situations like a second battery on a expo rig.

    On my rig, I have a 24F in the stock location for starting duties and a 2nd 24F mounted in the bed to run the fridge, the Ham, the CB, the stereo amps, the inverter and powers all my bed lights and RTT accessories.
