    Crom,
Just to be clear...you took both leaf packs off your truck, then disassembled both packs and brought them to the shop loose?

Did you replace all the bushings as well? If I go through the trouble of taking everything off, I'm going to put brand new bushings on.

I'm so tired of monkeying around with the truck. I was thinking about just dropping the truck off with a shop that will do it all! Haha
(Probably won't though due to price)

I hear you. I'm done messing with my springs for the next 5+ years or however long they last. I'll rebuy them when they wear out.

I replaced the stock rubber Dakar bushing with Poly when I had them out. Rear already had poly and was still in good shape, so I re-greased the bushing and sleeve.

Yes. I had to break down the pack to save myself money.

Super easy job.Funny story about my experience with the shop in my build thread.

I also painted my springs when they were apart, they look brand new again. Pics in this post

1st gen here, but i guess this applies to the 2nd gens too. For the ones that complain about the squeaking from the bushing area, check to see if your bushing isn't doing this.

I don't have dakars but I have AP expos and mine are doing this something fierce. It is the front bushing as far as I can tell (both sides)

@OZ-T Are you still using the pond liner? I am thinking about doing this if that is still your solution. I didn't go through all 48 pages on here.

Here is what mine sound like. It almost sounds worse inside the truck

Yes I still have the EPDM strips but will likely move to drilling the leafs and adding isolators as other have on here as a long term solution whenever I have time to tear down my set up again

I have greasable bolts in for my leafs. I had put grease in them before and I thought it was enough. I pumped an uncomfortable amount of grease into them yesterday and it seemed to have help a little bit..still really annoying. My deavers didn't do this nor did my GIANT SUA leafs on my last taco

    Thanks.
I saw that in thread earlier. I'm way behind on maintenance imho. Working on cooling system now. 9 yr old truck with less than 58k.
I'll watch in full this evening. Thanks again.

I did like others and disassembled both sets, sanded, primed, painted, pond liner, and greased. I did install poly bushings though.

I think that pack has been drilled for isolators
