There are differences in the motors. It's not a simple tuning and it's the same thing. Yes they share the same block and alot of parts but no a simple tune will not push out the Lexus power

it isnt simple as a tune, but then again it is. i understand how difficult "tuning" a toyota is, but if the hard parts are mostly the same, what else is different other than software? they share everything from blocks and heads to injectors and intake manifold so...? i know i know it cannot be done. nobody has ever gained power out of a toyota motor before. except people have tuned tuned just about every power plant ever developed. people have dyno'd and tuned their 3rd gen tacomas. but no there is no simple plug in tune like a cobb accessport or something simple. that you are correct in

Thats because the lexus has an 8 speed trans attached to the 2gr-fks. Yes i have driven both. I own a tacoma, and I work for lexus.

EDIT: the new is350 may have it as well, havent PDI'D one yet

EDIT EDIT: the engine in your 2013 gs350 is not the 2gr-fks it is the older 2gr-fse with the 6 speed

Interesting stuff. Didn't know the 16' GS was now a 2gr-fks.

Yup, must be just a different tune for 91 octane.

Exact same engine, the 2grfks can be tuned to ~325 max hp while maintaining healthy AFR's. A big part of the Tacoma having less max hp is the much lower redline. Low end torque discussion is kind of a push between 2grfks vehicles.

Thanks for bringing this up I haven't found anything either. I had the same thing on my Audi. I had them (dealer) program the remote to close the windows when I held down the lock button (which I guess they didn't do in the US for safety concerns -somebody stick in the head of the window I guess) and open the windows with my finger pressed on the unlock button.

getting off topic but carista is the most popular/least expensive option but you wont get anywhere close to the customization of your audi

Thanks for the reply I didn't realize it was getting way off topic because I thought that Carista thing did all the programming for the windows of things , I know they were talking a lot about engine stuff . Thank you. I used yo like that feature on my Audi. Now I'm just trying to search on the forums -if I walk away from the truck with the smart key fob I want the truck to automatically lock.

Check out Carista. You need an OBD II adapter.

February 2022, just got off the phone with Bully Dog. There is still no solution for 18+ models. Toyota locked the ECMs. I was trying to transfer my BD tuner from my '11 to my "new" '19 and it isn't an option. :pout:

The 2011 needed it due to the SC. I just figured it'd be cool to have in the new truck for the extra gauges. Guess not.
