They did offer them in black but the black is more expensive for some weird reason. :notsure: Making me think about selling the new black appliances and buying a stainless package

Bought a roll of R-19 pink insulation for the basement. What a bad idea it was to go near a shopping area today.

They claim this sale is due to a "special buy" so maybe they just ordered/built a lot more in stainless and thus a lower price?

I honestly think they've got this stuff down pat now. Seems as they have enough of the products on hand. I remember 4 years ago I wanted to buy the 51 inch Samsung HDTV and the Walmart I went to only had 6 of them??? I got there at 5pm and sat in the isle until 10 when they gave me the barcode. Then went and paid for it and drove around back to have them load it up...didn't get home till 1 am and the tv was the only thing I got.

Last night I went for the 55 inch 4K UHD Phillips smart tv for 299 and they had tons of them. Got there at 630 and out of there by 8. Big difference

went to kohls, just for their toaster oven that was on sale for $8. the lady said they only had 10 of them. I said screw it and went online and found it on Amazon for a bit more than the kohls website but didn't have to pay their $10 shipping fee. also hit michaels since they had their picture frames on sale for 60%+ off (wife wants to do a photo collage above our bed). walked out with 20 frames for under $100 (various sizes). not too bad of a deal, would have been $200+. family is still here so wife and I plan on hitting some of the afternoon sales later today.

Spent part of the day identifying and starting to prep some of my MILSUPs to sell off - time to cull the herd a bit and get something else. Made the initial inquiries to being the long process to pick up one of these --WWII configuration Auto Ordnance Thompson M1SBR.

Awesome man, my wife has done something similar to our living room, I like it, turned out pretty nice. Most everything was on sale at some point so there's not a ton of money invested in it all. IMG_1534.jpg

    Awesome, nice piece man!

...^^^... With the Marine amphibious units (MEF's & BLT's), the Navy landing craft drivers carried those weapons in RVN. IIRC, each landing craft carried about 30+ Marines for a beach assault and had 1 Navy assault boat coxswain (with that weapon) in the small, front loading L/craft. I saw a few LT's carry it on the ground too.

Got to fire one a few year ago and IIRC Clyde's Armory had one for sale for about $20,000.00, but it had a drum magazine .. maybe not exact same weapon ? I don't know much about that weapon, except firing it one time and seeing it a few other times. Nice weapon and doesn't climb on rapid fire like I though it would.

Saw this US Army Colt 1911 ... made in 1918 ... marked down $1,000. ... down to sale price of $9,999.99 at Cebela's in MN.

I spent all morning fixing the furnace. Saved almost $300 on service call. Thinking of late online shopping tonight for kids. Looking at Sitka camo, or big screen tv.

...^^^...IMO ... the real "shooters" at the range like the Springfield better too.

I like the Colt for nostalgic reasons ... had an old & worn out 1911 in the military and it never jammed (even when muddy) ... it always worked.

I ended up getting an ice fishing hut from Sportsmans Warehouse this morning, it was a ghost town. I'm going to use it for camping though. last night the wife and I got misc clothes and my sons gifts from Walmart. it was still a zoo but I lucked out and paid for all my crap at the electronics counter when I bought one of those drones
