Okay, had a deer run into my driver door and did a bunch of damage. The body shop replaced my door with a new factory oem door, but the inside of the door edge looks different now.. has an odd feel to it. Has anyone ever had to replace their door before?

    Reserected from the dead.
You should be completely satisfied with the body shop work. It should look and feel just like new. Give the body shop a chance to make it right.

Did they replace the shell? or just the door skin?

Regardless, if it was a OEM skin or shell, they do not come from Toyota with seam sealer around the perimeter of the door. It has to be applied by a tech before the door is painted. Some painters tend to fly thru painting the door inners because most folks don't think to look there, as they're usually just concerned about the outside of the door.

And as stated above, the body shop should stand behind their work. If you're not satisfied with it, take it back and explain your case.
