I've been getting into Metal music for about the past year or so, and I was just wondering who else here likes it?

I just found the band Bloodsimple. today and they remind me a lot of Static-X.

I haven't heard Soulfly in years! I may have to pick up some of their albums again.

I listen to metal when I lift, but I don't like to experiment too much while I'm under a stack of weights, so I usually find a band I like and play the shit out of it. Hatebreed. Throwdown. A fella here turned me onto DOPE last week. I still have a lot of older stuff (GNR, Pantera, Megadeth) in my ipod.

Not sure if Five Finger Death Punch is metal... lol I don't pay much attention to genres what with my collection topping 18,000 songs on my computer at the moment... I just pick a bunch of shit when I'm in the barn working and usually hit shuffle. :D I have enough to keep track of with artist, album, and track titles. I don't have time to figure out the genre when the people ripping it in the first place didn't.

Five Finger Death Punch kicks ass. I used to be a big metal head, but lately I've been more into stuff like Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, Skynyrd, Hellyeah, ect.

I like Slipknot a good bit, and their stuff is pretty mainstream and ear friendly.

    ^ That song kicks ass.

not into the death metal too much.

lately I have been listening to Black Tide, Egypt Central, and Alter Bridge.

Black Tide has a little megadeth sound to them.

I know they are a little gimicky, but i blast some Dragonforce every so often

Another band I've been watching is Bobaflex. Having a hell of time finding their complete album to really know what they're like. Can only seem to find "Home" all over the place.

DragonForce kills! They are the only band that I'll see live.
