Not yet. Hoped to get home earlier today but it's dark before I even leave the office.
Vacation day tomorrow, to hunt, so I'll get some in the afternoon.

    Thank you!

I could take pics inside, but they just won't do it justice. You won't be able to see the steel and wood as well as I want.

What are everyone's thoughts on the weatherby vanguard? I've been trying to find one to shoulder in person but haven't been able to yet.

my vedder holster came in today, pretty comfy for being plastic and the can't is fully adjustable. also it shipped in 3 days and was in my hands 2 days later with a holiday in between. pretty happy with it so far.

My Dad said he was going to buy me a safe for my birthday but he wanted my input. We looked at the ones bass pro has in person and almost picked one up. Since we didn't does anyone here have any input on what they would get? Trying to not break the bank, I do not have a bunch of firearms and am not looking for fort knox here. Here are some of the models I'm looking at.

The larger version of this one (not listed on bass pro's site, only $20 more)

The main point that I would push on you is allway buy bigger than your think you need when it comes to safes. When I did all of my homework, and weighed price/size sensibility and practicality, I ended up with a Liberty 50 series safe and got the door hanger from them for pistols and such. I will add their customer service was excellent
    (Paid about $1400)

looks like it would be ok if you are standing but might be uncomfortable if you sat down much.

Recently picked up a ruger american ranch in .223 from a buddy for cheap with a bipod and Bushnell ar optics 3-12x40 223 bdc scope and I'm pretty impressed with it, it's a hell of a shooter especially for 325$

You can always upgrade or add another safe later. Are you concerned with fire protection as well as security?

Not particularly. I'm not expecting fort Knox, just enough to slow somebody down or make it too inconvenient to be worthwhile.

In that situation then, obviously you're looking at something smaller like the stack-ons that you show in your thread. Whatever you do end up picking up, I would definitely would bolt it to the floor/ chaining it to something . Because they are surprisingly easy to move, especially when there smaller. When they're smaller, the thief doesn't have to break in it, they just takes the whole thing. I am only sharing my knowledge of experience because Ive been in the gun world long enough to hear the bad stories, but just look on YouTube. I am definitely not trying to discourage or scare you but to make you aware of how easy it is for thieves to steal a safe.

In some cases, I have heard thieves going in to peoples garages taken their own dolly that most of us have at least one of in a house and using your own dolly to take your safe out of your house and keep the damn dolly to.

I'm similar. Full time college student. No funds for more guns at the moment. 2 handguns, 2 shotguns. I got a black Stack-on for sale at Academy for like $80. Sure, it's not Fort Knox, and it's not impenetrable to a crowbar, but it IS bolted to the floor and wall in the back of a closet behind clothes, boxes, etc. It will hold me over until I have a better place for a bigger safe.
