Get the truck and never come on this forum ever again!! You will be glad. All these whiners with there issues etc, you dont like it then dont get it... Simple. I have 23000km on mine and had minor nuisances but nothing id cry about. Its only coming on here everyday that makes we rethink my purchase / spend all my money on mods. Overall a+ truck and enjoy:thumbsup::thumbsup::bananadance:

Your coming from a Ridgeline to a Tacoma? Have you driven the Tacoma or the G2 Ridgeline?

FWIW, I got rid of a 16 Tacoma MT with just under 12,000 mi for a G2 Ridgeline now at 4,000mi. Not that the Tacoma was having mechanical issues but there is no comparison between the two. The Ridgeline is way more sorted out. You will get tired of reaching up to change the radio volume with the knob and hitting the EnTune screen with your knuckle and changing the radio station because the knob is so small and poorly placed for example.
Unless you are wheelin there is no reason to jump ship.

Don't make the same mistake I did and buy one on the previous gens reputation.

Let the Sh*t Show begin. :crapstorm:

BTW, I still like checking in here for the lively discussions. :D The Ridgeline forums are so..... BORING!

That's because the RL owners are too busy at dance recitals, soccer games, and getting pedicures.

I plan to test drive both, my biggest issue is the timing belt! hate doing that! i have 180,000 miles on the ridge and a belt is due soon again..don't want to do it again. The 2nd gen ridge... isn't the same as the 1st, just doesn't look right, i'm sure it a great truck, but i just dont like the way it looks. kinda pissed about it.

I just traded in my Tacoma for a ridgeline, I just couldn't suffer that aggressive "look" it has. My vegan friends just said it looked like a dick. NPR Gets way better reception, and the upholstery is certified cruelty free, and I can even feel it on my skin! The seats on the Tacoma chafed the inside of my knees, I had to wear longer cut off jeans/capris when driving, it was totes a hassle. Honda really put this one together.

    A few.

Now why would he want to buy an updated El Camino instead of a truck?

Well played sir. Nothing beats making the pavement plus I could make a bed on your carbon footprint and nestle in with some bacon flavored hot cocoa.

Ya, she burns around 40+/- gal a day on avg. Not like a Tacoma is all the environmentally friendly tho.

Some one has to build the houses, schools, malls, places of employment, infrastructure etc. I put as much underground as I do in places that can be seen.

Concrete, the building block of modern society.

    :threadjacked: Sorry OP

I agree....Honda's are reliable vehicles! We have had our Pilot since 09 and has been rock solid. 128,000 and counting. Expect for a punctured oil filter while driving back from the lake which pissed oil everywhere(not fault of car) it's been flawless. I have had many Honda motorcycles as well, and currently have a Honda Grom they are great bikes. With regards to the 17 Taco....mine has been great even though I only have 1500 miles on my Pro. I think you will be happy with your decision if you pull the trigger.
