That is really cool! Your dad slowed them down lol. But they still averaged 1,800 mph.

That was a different crew in the SR-71 but that is awesome that your dad was such a cool part of history.

My grand dad flew the B-26. He was a POW for 9 months and survived. He has sad but amazing stories.

.50 Cal...best Anti-personnel weapon being used down-range...use to roll out with 3 .50s and a 240...for some reason they used to take more pop-shots at the hmmv with the 240. Go figure

Definitely not ALL, just the big ones deemed important enough. Never saw one in Iraq or Afghanistan.

If I had to pick one and only one weapon to get everything done it would be a 240, a Lima if I thought I'd have to carry it for too long.

These last 2 posts in here are the only ones worth anything. The 240 is the greatest thing our military ever did. Everyone else plays too much video games. Or maybe never been in combat or something I don't know.

Are you talking weapon systems or actual personal weapons? Most of the posts are weapon systems lol.

A quick video of me firing the mini gun the other day. Nothing like sending 4,000 rounds per minute of .308 down range to show someone how you really feel. Because f*ck you and everything in your general vicinity.

My M16A4 with its M203 grenade launcher attached to it. I miss my weapon wished I could have bought it when I left, I still remember the serial number. But the M32A1 40mm multi shot grenade launcher is a close second.

Gotta admit my favourite is the good old Mk19. Puts a grin on my face every time I watched rounds arc downrange.

Though I did sleep with my M4/203 a lot too...
