Very nice, yeah I almost ordered two, but I decided I wait and save the money for another item.

I understand completely, the struggle is real I tell you. With all the black fri sales and cyber Monday going on I should shred my credit cards and order new ones so I don't over spend lol:goingcrazy:

We set up a high line like this over the canyon at work last year to do a photo shoot. It was several hours of work setting up the Arizona Vortex and running lines across and getting everything tightened down right for about 20 mins of use. I'm just glad we got to set it up for fun, not because somebody was in a bad place and needed help.

Part of my SS gift arrived today, gotta wait for the rest and I will wrap it all up and send it out!

Nice, sounds like a good time, our span at the training grounds isn't that far, but the height is pretty decent. I don't get to "play" as much as I would like with the tech rescue stuff. My Fd found it easier to just lower the patient down the cliffs we have to our mutual aid who deploys into the creek with their rafts, and just haul them down stream to the medics.

Nice! We'er an adventure company with too much cool gear! Nowhere near as much stress or responsibility as you guys have.

One of the main guys is a Sprat level 3 tech that works over in the middle east most of the year with the oil companies, he has some sweet equipment!

Still has to be pretty sweet, doing it for fun rather then our line of work. Little different I imagine as well as far as equipment goes, you more into the dynamic or static lines?

Depends on what we are doing. If we are climbing and rappelling then dynamic, if we are just rappelling we use static to save wear on the dynamic ropes.

On rappels with clients we use 2 bolt anchors, connected with chain. Attach a carabiner with a rigging plate. On the rigging plate we attach the main line on a munter mule so we can release it if anything happens. Then a belay line is ran off another slot on the plate usually with a munter on a carabiner. Its a pretty sweet and quick setup.

Its necessary for climbing, not as much for top rope but its still much nicer than climbing on static. For what you guys do though, static all the way.
