Well Ive got my flame suit on so Im ready for the burn about to happen. IMHO You Tube has ruined The Grand Tour. And heres why:

What I loved most about old Top Gear was the side by side reviews of cars that I will never be able to own or drive. Like when they did the hot hatch comparisons or EVO VS WRX. But now all I have to do is search countless You Tube channels that do this. Yeah, there not the same quality and not nearly as funny. But the info is still there. GT needs to do more of the old school car reviews. I watched Top Gear for the cars and humor. GT is just not the same. I know its a whole different show but still I miss the old Top Gear. GT so far has been boring. I wish they would have spent more time with the Vulcan, maybe racing against another car. The staged terrorist rescue challenge this week ruined it for me. Kept dragging on.

And damn did Mike Skinner let himself go. They probably had to shoe horn his little debbie eating ass into the Aston.

episode 2 was poo. it's like the new family guy episodes where it's just 90% filler. hope this isn't a trend

If you've got Amazon Prime, all of the old Top Gear episodes are on there for free streaming right now. I've been watching through them again, and I've gotten up to season 5 now.

Don't get too bent out of shape after just two episodes. The first episode was great and I agree the second one was less so. But... they even said that the second episode wouldn't be about cars at all and it actually had a few cars in it. That said, there were some episodes of Top Gear that I wasn't as fond of and there were some episodes that were standouts and will go down as classics. I laughed quite a few times during episode 2 but I agree it was mediocre at best. I also agree that they need to get rid of the celebrity portion of the show as that has gotten old real quick. You can only run a joke one time and then it isn't funny anymore. But I'm not going to condemn the show after only two episodes. Now... if it keeps this same formula then yes. But judging by past performances I think it will be okay in the long run.

I was entertained. That Aston was  and I was laughing my ass off when Jeremy's pants fell off while he was attempting to fast rope out of the helicopter! I really enjoyed that whole bit with the boys getting TactiCOOL.
I'm sure they're going somewhere with the celebrity deaths but I have now clue where right now? Honestly when I watched on Netflix I would frequently fast forward the interviews as I could care less about what some celebretard had to say.

    Looking forward to next week!

I enjoyed the episode, it was on par with what Top Gear used to do. Not every episode the Trio did on Top Gear was fantastic. Some of the episodes were dull and I wouldn't watch them again. The show is young and will change where needed for the better I think.

I was going to create a thread for this but forgot.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, little disappointed in the P1 but still my favorite of the 3. The "American" bit is kinda lame but some of the "jokes" he has a good. Prefer the Stig but for legal reasons I understand.

Haven't finished the 2nd episode yet, but I found it to be a little funny. Like some have said there were some TopGear episodes that had little to do with cars that were still good. Granted this is the worst of the 2 episodes but I'm still excited for more!

Really happy with the show. I liked both episodes, and am happy I can't just binge watch it, and then sit there bored for 9-10 months waiting to do it again... Not so keen on The American, but hopefully he'll get funnier or be replaced. I'm sure after getting used to the show, people will go back and watch ep.2 with a little more enthusiasm. Killing the celebrities is way better than watching them blab on about driving a Prius and whatever garbage movie they're promoting... Look forward to what's ahead!

Watched the 3rd episode, was pretty good! I love the sound of that super charger.

But yes end the stupid celebrity thing it's annoying. And the American needs to be changed
