Couldn't get the king shocks lower mount installed this evening. Not enough clearance between the eyelets. Anyone have any tips for expanding the rear lower shock mount eyelets? My 4 1/2 inch grinder wouldn't reach in far enough and I tried bending the mounts but only the ears would budge.

you could use a long threaded bolt with 2 nuts between the mount. Use 2 wrenches, one on the head and one on the last nut, and make like you're unscrewing the bolt. The 2 nuts will contact the inside of the mount eyelets and force them apart as the space between the nuts gets wider.

How tight is it? Can you get some of the shock mount in it? If it can barely fit, tap it in gently with a hammer. Use a little block of wood to hammer on so you don't damage the shock's finish.
