This has been the project for the past week! Just glad it's like 90% done because it has been a huge pain in the ass. Big thanks to the people on here that have typed up their builds both JBL and Non because it made lifew a lot easier. Obviously I still need to clean up the wiring and carpet the box but that's the easy part.

 

I had the shifting tsb done on my 2017 this morning. It didn't change a thing . oh well.

How did this all turn out? I have been wanting to dip the bumper and instrument bezel but haven't done it before. Do you just sand it to prep?

Nice! I just picked up my that exact same truck only automatic... unfortunately couldn't find a manual one!

 

I did my rear bumper caps .. i just taped/papered everything off around them. No prep besides cleaned the chrome caps real good. I done several coats with the first couple being light .. once a coat is done be sure to turn can upside down and spray on paper or cardboard or something to clear spray nozzle. I waited about 15-minutes between coats

 

I recently did the same thing. I've done my license plate, dome, and overhead lights in the center console. However, the only thing I haven't done is the visor LEDs. I haven't figured out out to remove the cover to exchange the light for the LED. I mean I haven't done research on it yet either but thought I'd ask how you remove it.

 

I plan to do this myself. What paint did you use to cover the chrome?

 

Sharp edge at the bottom bend it alittle hope that helps.

De-badged, washed & waxed, and added new decals. Ordered a pair of black & grey, but these showed up instead. I dig it.

Its the black plastidip .. about $6 at Walmart .. if i ever want to go back to chrome it will peel off. Been on several months and still looks like day i sprayed them

This is what I have done to my Tacoma as of yet. I've changed the front grill from my chrome grill to this amazing customcargrill with TACOMA. I've added a Universal N-Fab Mount in the back where I store my fifth tire. Also, in the bed of the truck you can see I installed a fire extinguisher. I wanted to add to the stock exhaust so I purchased a TRD chrome tip, painted it black, and had that installed. I didn't take pics of the LED lights prior to installing them but I have changed the license plate lights, dome light, and overhead lights in the center console all to an LED cool-white. I also have added HID headlights for both hi beam and low beam; as well as, HID fog lights. So much more light!! I also added a 4" lift with my new tires and wheels.

I'm still waiting to figure out how to install LED lights into my two visors. I have a couple more things on order that I'm waiting to receive such as a hood scoop, front AVID guard for my bumper, and a new switch panel to add more switches. I have the one that has three switches and then the lighter. I ordered the one that has five switches and the lighter. Im also thinking of ordering the overhead console with the extra two switches because right now I have two switches up there with the off road package. I'm going to install LED bed lights with a switch in my truck this week. Then last couple things that will be done down the road a bit but I want to install a 30" LED into my AVID guard and a 50" curved LED on top of my windshield. Follow that with a platform rack for the top of the cab. Then, I think that will be all as of right now.
