    Mine is done!
All went pretty well. Theres always a couple difficult bolts etc.
I took it out for a test drive and didn't have any problems. Woohoo! No codes, no engine issues.

    Here's my impression:
    It's not mind blowing power.
It doesnt sound like a turbo ;)
Its very driveable if you just drive normal.
When you climb into the throttle she does take off, seems like the more the load the more the power.
Kicks in about 1800 depending on the load.
I think this will be great for towing.

I used the setting for stock shift points but it sure seems to shift a lot better, firmer.
I have the 2.85 pulley on and a dry AFE filter in case anyone is trying to correlate issues with components.

Maybe this is the key to the Bully Dog tune working? I thought you could load the tune and then you don't need the Bully Dog anymore. Could be my problem is related to not keeping the Bully Dog in the truck.

And yes you can wire the Bully Dog to only turn on with the key.

I just need my fuel pressure gauge to complete this little panel. I'll wrap it in black vinyl once I've settled on the gauge arrangement.

Also, I see a couple spots at the bottom corners for seat heater switches, maybe an air compressor or some auxiliary light switches or something at the top center. Hmm...

I thought you could install the tune then unplug it as well.

For those who haven't done the install or having problems with the BD tuner, i came across this install video. Its not Toyota specific but a great video for reference.

Yeah that looks about the only spot. Looks like a pita, every time you remove bumper will have to disconnect the pump..

How often do you remove the bumper?
Even then, that would be two extra bolts that zip off in a hot second with an impact.

So just trying to think how much horsepower I'll have when I'm done. I have a 4.0, URD TCAI, Magnuson supercharger, 2.85 pulley, URD cat back and possibly Doug Thorley long tube headers. My truck is in the dealership getting the SC installed and I have too much time to sit and think of these things.

    Any guesses?

The only way to know for sure is to put it up on the rollers, but I believe @Gadget@URD could give you a rough estimate...

    Different bumper, same issue here.

I modified (hacked on) the support so I could invert the adel clamps and raise the pump:

I ground down the edges and wrapped the pump with a couple pieces of dirt bike inner tube to protect it. It's a kludge but it will work for the time being until I come up with a more elegant solution.

You guys must have more room in the front than an fj. No way mine will fit there, going to install it in the bumper.

Welp, install is complete. I'm still not 100% sure I have the right tune installed since I didn't have the option to select S/C in the Vehicle Selection and the only option I had was the "Premium 2.85" tune, will call Bully Dog tomorrow. In the meantime I set up my Scangauge to read fuel trim level and AFR and took a test drive. No hesitation or other weirdness, and the Air/Fuel ratio drops to 11-12 under boost/open loop so that's a good sign. I can at least drive it until I verify the tune.

The whine from the blower is surprising - I was expecting it to be a bit more subtle. But all is well  .. except the lightness in my wallet
