I'd rather have an easier time with an obstacle then have smaller tires, but that's just me.

But i also dont think i will bring myself to trim enough to fit the 12.50 wide tires when they get pushed into the wheel well. And I'll mainly just be daily driving with a few mediocre trails with some buddies.

I have 265s on my 2.7, Im not sure what gears you have but with my 4.30s and heavy e load 265/70r17s it does really good. I've had em only in mud, following ford rangers around on 33x12.50 cooper stt pros a while ago before I got the mts

I don't know the trails over in Virginia but if you feel as if you don't need them, then 285 might be a better option for you. They'll be smaller and rub a bit less. Over in California we have some of the hardest trails in the country, so totally understandable. 285 would keep some off road capability, while making it more friendly do drive daily and rubbing with still be better. You'll still rub at full lock when flexing though. There's no way to really eliminate the rubbing there easily.

285s are just barely smaller than 33x12.50s right?

Are you looking to totally eliminate rubbing everywhere? Even at full lock flexed?

Im fine with full lock flexed but its really annoying for me over bumps and backing up at full lock and turning at full lock

There's something you can bend back that helps with that. It's right in front of the cab mount on both sides. I bent mine off-roading and bending it back helped with with the rubbing that you're looking for. I still need to bend them back a bit more.

But the main problem with my 12.50s is that I'm usually in tight spaces so I'm constantly turning sharp and riding over bumpy areas. And when i go trailriding around here, its mainly little stuff but tight corners and turns

Yea, being the wide tires definitely cause that. You're mainly hitting the body then. Narrower tires might help, maybe some 255/85s, but tubing would eliminate everything for good. I normally don't like to recommend body lifts, but you might be able to get away using a 1" 4crawler body lift. I'd be opposed to using one myself, but other's have different opinions.

At that point it's hard to help. I don't blame you if you don't have the funds for the truck right now, but fixing the rubbing will either cost some plastic or money.

Thats why im looking at the 265/75s cause i already have the rims and i could sell me newer tires and rims to get some money back.
