what is the kid action likely it be ? my 13yo would be with me if i came, and along with that the typical teen angst of not being interested in dads friends and hobbies.... if there were other kids there she'd entertain herself and them maybe....

 

So for the potluck/drinking/fire/cornholio Christmas hoedown.....

9-5 at my place. Arrive whenever you want. I have to start getting ready for my wife's work Christmas party at 5. you guys can stay as long as you like though.

We will eat sometime between 12 and 1 hopefully.

Bring a chair.

Plenty of room to get all your mallcrawlers off the pavement haha

It's not a structured event it's more of a just get together and chill kinda thing. if everyone is going to be scattered in there arrival times and way after 12 then we can just do our own thing for lunch. but if we can get some commitment we will plan it.

Hopefully everyone can make it out and just hang out for a while.

My kids will be gone but I don't mind at all if anyone brings there kids as long as I'm not the one keeping up with them lol

 

Truck let me down again. I totally forgot about it and left in a hurry (smarter play would've been to drive my other car until I have a chance to play around with the truck). I was only going up the street so it wasn't that big of a deal but as soon as I got there I said "you're going to die on me again, aren't you?"

2 hours later I came back, doors unlocked just fine but as soon as I went to crank it was dead dead dead. Got under the hood to check the connections and as soon as I went to lift the rubber on the neg connection the whole thing came disconnected. I slammed it back on and it fired up.

I think that tells me the battery isn't dead but my connection was bad. I'm going to play with it tomorrow and take them both off, clean everything well and tighten them back on better...

Really weird bc they haven't been disconnected since I put my light bar in and that was back before the summer

 

Take a picture of it. I've got some extra cable and battery connectors, we can get it fixed.

 

I'll probably will swing by. Depends on two things. If the weather holds out this week so we can get out 5 jumps in and depending on what time I get back around that area.

Going clean everything now, here's our it currently looks...

I think maybe the connection was just loose. I could easily twist it about. I loosened it up and blew everything off and tightened it down better. Won't budge now. Fires up like a champ...

 

should have still hit it with wire brush and cleaned the crud off. gonna suck if it leaves you sitting again....

loosen the nut, spread the terminal clamp apart push it further down the CLEAN terminal on the battery, then retighten. the band on the negative terminal is probably stretched a bit, clean that post too, then loosen the nut on band to allow it to open a bit, push it further down on the post if there is room.

i'll admit, the OEM terminals leave a lot to be desired. there are upgrade opportunities on the horizon
