Why don't you store your AR mags loaded man? Just curious

 

If you store them loaded you can damage the springs over time. I rotate mine between different sets so I can re-adjust the spring and keep it fresh.

Pretty sure it's the cycling of springs that wears them out, not constant compression.

 

The main issue is the feed lips on the pmag, the pressure of the spring pushing on the ammo constantly "can" cause an issue to the lips, to combat that just use the dust covers if you got them or buy some for your loaded ones it helps push the ammo down a tad to keep the pressure off.

 

Old school thinking right there man. The continuous loading and unloading is what weakens the springs.
