Tires for 90% highway use?

I don't offroad, may get offroad very little some in the future but I want a good highway tire that looks semi A/T. I have a 2ish inch lift and currently have 265/65/17 but thinking of going to 70's to fill out the wheel wells some. What tire do you all recommend for highway use?

I did a search for highway use but nothing showed up.

 

Toyo at2? Last forever. And the p rated is less agressive. I have the lt

 

I just put on some copper discovery at3s and I like them

 

I have had general grabber at2s (90% paved roads) 2years plus. got winter set and summer set. Both general grabber at2s.
Still got lots of tread! wear even.
My only complaint.. i wish they howled a little more

 

Another vote for the Cooper Discoverer AT3. Or if you want something more aggressive then the General Grabber AT2s work great. I had them in P load, and didn't notice any impact in MPG, yet they still performed great while aired down off-road.This is in 265/70r17 with a ~2.5" lift.

 

I have Firestone Destination AT on my truck. I drive mostly pavement also with some farm and gravel roads. I have about 12k miles on them, they wear evenly,did not take a big hit in the MPGs and they are not noisy on the road.

If I drove 90% pavement I'd be running Michelin AT2 or MS2.

 

+1 for Cooper Discoverer A/T3.

 

I run the Michelins AT2s on my Tacoma and Cooper Discoverys on my 4Runner. My Tacoma is my daily and I am 100% pavement and 90% highway. 60 miles a day mostly highway. The Michelins are super quiet and very responsive.

 

+1 for General Grabbers at2's. Really good road manners. Tires look aggressive and are quite. Good traction in the dirt.

 

IMO you should get all seasons and not all terrains.

 

Why do you recommend an all season? Do AT tires not do good in snow?

 

Depends on how much snow. If it's deep snow, I'd say all terrains do better. But if it's a little snow and icy roads, all seasons do much better. All seasons last longer than all terrains too. And sorta cheaper I think. Overall it's better deal.

10% off-road isn't much for an all season either, unless you're going up against jagged rocks or mud bogging pits. I've taken my moms accord out to the hunting property and her all seasons do just fine on dirt roads.

 

Cooper A/T3's have served me well on several vehicles. I currently have 48,000 miles on a set on my Tacoma. If I were the type to drive them to the minimum legal thread depth I might get 60,000 out of them, but Ill probably buy new in about 5000-6000 more miles.

 

Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10's love mine, have handled everything i have thrown at them quite well.

 

Firestone Destination A/T's. semi-aggressive, long-lasting, and very quiet.

 

Try a P rated AT or All Season. I currently drive on Cooper Discoverer AT3's. They ride nice, track well, decent in 6 inches of snow, have low road noise and look good, BUT 20k into them they have slid in turns on wet roads, not good. Could be my pressure, 36psi. I hate tires that slip.
