Yeah I decided the same thing! That would have to be a pretty narrow trail. Although a few months back if I had LT when I was wheeling I wouldn't have had my truck anymore :annoyed:went down the wrong trail and it was about the width of my truck, and a cliff on the other side with no turn around. There was a brand new 4Runner flipped and totaled down the cliff. Had to back out! Very scary

Depending upon what you use your truck for, might want to build a perimeter cage and get creative on stiffening the frame. I have seen too many long travel trucks that have an un-useable bed to where you can't put camping gear or fridges/Dryers in the back!

I definitely want a bed cage that leaves plenty of room for things, a bed rack with tent, fridge, extra parts etc. I thought about building somewhat of a cage inside my truck, not sure yet though. Would my truck have enough power? That'd be pretty heavy unless I went with aluminum

If you take a look at my build thread you can see my perimeter cage. The bed is pretty functional and I can still fit 4'x8' sheets of plywood/ drywall in it.

Also, might want to consider re-gearing if you haven't done it already.

Re-gearing is a definite. As I want to go with 35s. 4.88 is what I'm aiming towards.

I wouldn't run super bumps in the rear if you are going to be doing go fast stuff.. Definitely air bumps, preferably 4" stroke. As for the front i've heard air bumps don't make a huge difference so you can get away with super bumps then.

You think this + the 2.0 4" stroke kings would be good? Do i weld them on the frame?

lol my bad yeah super bumps only for front - 4" hydro / air bumps out back. I've had the front superbumps on the brain lately. Gotta order a set soon. Just been holding off. No sale on them yet for this weekend :(

Yeah if you can fab up mounts that saves four hundred bucks or so. The bolt on mounts from TC are pretty pricey.

spring rate? 650lb is what most guys get. I have 600lb but I only have a 4 banger so less weight plus my truck is lighter overall by a good amount than bigger double cabs.
