I should have some awesome pics to show tomorrow , that's if the clouds stop shrouding the peaks

I've got five 11k ft peaks that are covered in snow . San Bernardino peak 10,649 ft just peaked out of the clouds but by the time I could take a pic the clouds covered it back up

 

yeah i know how that goes. i got lucky and traded my stock steel wheels with new tires for these they looked like holy hell when i got them but i stripped them and painted black idk what the texas edition wheels look like but i like these

 

chuck did you find a good source for your wheels yet?

Those are still nice but I think the new ones will look better on your truck.

 

im sure you have the tools i just took a diegrinder and cleaned off all the bubbled up areas, then went over everything with 180 grt sand paper, blew them off, wiped down with a little ruducer and put 4 coats of a good satin black spray paint on them. i think it was the krylon all in one with the primer

it was the rustoleum universal paint and primer in one. i tried krylon on a different set and didn't like it. "so far" it's been very durable and looks great

How long ago did you do it?

 

do you have a die grinder with a scotchbrite pad it'll attach to the roloc disc holder. a regular roloc disc will remove too much material if your not careful the scotchbrite pad will not. it will also leave a smoother finish then sand over with 180 grt
