I'll be coming through again in December. Maybe a couple more times in January/March etc. I'll try and make a trip further north where yall are or maybe if there's another trip planned I'll hop in.

How're you liking it so far? My buddy and I always go back and forth between his renegade and the CrossTrek. I didn't even know they had a turbo option to be honest ha.

I'm hoping the 2018 CrossTrek won't be a cheap joke and they do the whole electric and STI model thing.

    Thanks man!

Was a cool spot for night shots. I didn't have a tripod either which made it interesting. Really would like a nicer camera for that purpose alone. I love shooting night stuff.

But getting by just fine for now. haha So many cool photo opportunities. Just wish there wasn't the hord's of people all the damn time. Need to go in the middle of a "snow" storm there haha

Also there are more in the Flickr Album if you're curious. Just didn't want to post 70 photos in here

Was fun. The Capitols won. Had never been to a live game before. Stopped action a lot more then I thought it did, but was a blast still.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good backpack for equipment/hunting/backpacking/guns/ outdoors lol.

Just looking for a good weather resistant all around bag that can carry whatever I need, but also be used to travel on airplanes and such.

Price range? I am a bit of a pack nerd and suggest Kifaru, Stone Glacier (My current fav pack is from them), or Mystery Ranch (bit outdated as far as frame goes but they are built to last with lots of options).

Not looking to break the bank, but not really sure what a quality one costs these days. I just realized my only real backpacks are my work ones (which I don't want to beat up to bad) and a single pouch back that has seen better days.

I'll have to look into those brands you mentioned.

Able to carry on planes narrow down your size to about 22x14x9 or less. Many airlines are cracking down even smaller on carry-ons.

Those will most likely "break the bank". All will be at a minimum ~$500 - $600. That being said, you are getting an external frame pack that will make 40lbs feel like nothing and 90+ lbs feel "just right". I am only suggesting these brands because you mentioned hunting and 40lbs is a common pack in weight, and 90+ if you are packing the animal out.

One benefit to these packs is their versatility. My pack can easily go from storing a weeks worth of gear, to being just big enough to hold a water bladder and a rain coat for a quick day trip. I went from having four $100 - $200 dollar bags that were only good at one thing to one bag that does everything I want it to.
