Help please

First off I am awake this a Tacoma forum but I was wondering if you guys could help me out. So I went to the gas station to fill up my moms 1998 ml320 and over filled it by accident. When I got home and when she left I noticed there was a lot of gas/fuel on the parking space... could you guys possible tell me what wrongs with thre car if this is a big problem and so...

 

It's just overflow nothing to worry about.

If any fuel spilled onto the paint, flush the painted surfaces with water. Fuel can damage the paint.

 

The only problem with that model is the reverse polarity spark induction. It's possible this could ignite the vapors from the overfilling. DO NOT let any one drive it for the next day until the extra overflow has time to flash off to a level that it does not re occur. Otherwise you could have an explosion.

We've all overfilled one here and there, just poking in fun. Glad your good enough to fill your moms car, and then concerned enough to check on your moms car, most kids today would say F it not my problem.
