I have driven my 2000 Tacoma over 988,000 miles with no major engine or transmission work.
It passed the California Smog test, a few months ago with 970,000 miles on it. The local Toyota Dealer wants to have Corporate give me a new truck as a reward but my vehicle looks like crap with un-repaired collision damage. So it is a poor showcase item for the dealer. I don't want to spend a fortune with cosmetic repairs so I am asking for any leads on someone parting out in southern California. I need a right front fender, grill and front bumper. Rear bumper would be nice. I live in Orange County. richard3387@sbcglobal.net

WOW, saying it's 17 years old that would be averaging about 58,115 miles a year. That is more miles by 20,000 miles, then I have driven in 10 years??

If you look at his other threads, about 2 years ago he said he had 906,000 miles, so I don't see anything in his past threads that doesn't agree with what he stated in this thread. He is a courier, so that would make sense that he would rack up the miles he has and mostly highway driving = fewer major repairs= look legit to me.

Looks like he doesn't follow up with posts looking at the other threads. Be cool to see though if it were so
