Try lowering your pressure. If you haven't already done so, try setting it via the chalk test.

the ms2's hands down the best highway / icy / wet road year round tire ever... just about anything outside of mud and deep snow.

I have the Toyo A/T ll also. Awesome tire and zero complaints . I have about 90k on them and have roughly 50 to 60% tread left . I have 285s and they only come in 10 ply. treaddepot.com has a deal for free shipping and $50 off. The sale ends tomorrow if you're interested.

Michelin MS2 (now the LTX Defender) is a terrific tire. It's the best option for 95% of the trucks on the road today.

I special ordered BFGoodrich All Terrains Load range C. 265-75-17, yes, they rub a bit when mall crawlin.

The tire shops around here only stocked Load Range E that are much heavier and meant for the full size trucks.

I've had them 5 years now and still tons of tread left.

Am I reading this correct? You put 90K miles on these tires and they still have half the tread left?

P-metric of some sort. Lighter tire, softer compound usually...

I have falken LT AT3's and there is no road noise. I'm sure the P-metric is more up your alley. I do close to 50-50 off-road to onroad.

Good luck with search. Post what you choose:thumbsup:

    Same as everybody else...
Firestone Destination A/T's are what I have also. Excellent tire for my DD and gets down any farm or gravel road I drive. My only gripe is that it picks up a lot of gravel in the tread.

Michelin at2 are the way to go by what you described. I have a set with 40,000 miles and they look like I just put them on.

X 2 ^ I have AT2 on certainly but have had the MS2 and they are both great tires. The AT2 look a little more aggressive then the MS2 .

I have had both Michelin at2 and ltx m/s, I like a little more aggressive look of at2, however you can't go wrong with either tire.

All depends on how much "give up" you're willing to accept on that other 10%....

I'm on Goodyear Duratrac's. (265/75/r16 load range C) At 38,000 miles, they're still in GREAT shape as far as wear. Probably 65% to 70% of useable life left. I get within 1/2 a MPG of what I did on "stock" rubber. They ride good, decent MPG's, make a little noise, but nothing too extreme, handle wet roads VERY well, great snow tire, and do very good off road. Pay particular attention to the general locations of those who recommend "A/T" tires for off roading. What is acceptable in dry desert conditions is not the hot setup for Midwestern axle deep gumbo mud (and vice versa)

I would say there are many good tires for this application. It may come down to what part of the country you live. I live in Florida, which means flat asphalt roads and lots of rain in summer. So true judgement should be made on area where vehicle will be used the most.

You might want to try a rating site such as Tire Rack or maybe Consumer Reports and see how they categorize rating systems. Categories I look for are quiet and comfortable in All Season. Never off-road, so not an issue to me.
