Beta alanine, creatine, and caffeine. For the caffeine, I bought the veggie capsules and just broke them open and dumped out their powder. I also added beet root powder but I'm not putting it in my next batch. I like the benefits, but it taste like dirt

 

I think I have a new "gym rival." But it's not because he lifts as much or more than me. He was struggling to bench 185. I've seen him in there twice. Even helped him out with something Monday night. But tonight we were downtown and he and his twin brother walked in and were staring a fucking hole through me. Never talked to the kid other than when he asked me a question at the gym. One of them said something to the other, turned around and looked at me and laughed. Then the other turned around and just stared at me. I did the friendly nod, he nodded back and continued to stare. Don't know what his malfunction is. But they've got me riled up. Fuckers.

I think I'm gonna start doing more deficit deadlifts. My issue is getting the bar off the ground. If I can pick it up, I can't lock it out. Anyone do deficits much?

 

I do deficits often because getting it off the ground is my struggle point

 

I tried a few times but it put too much torque on my back. You can also lift off of blocks to work through lockout plateaus

 

Well, I was pretty well-behaved on Thanksgiving...I basically stuck to all protein the whole day, minus some mashed potatoes, so the calories weren't too high. That night, the wife and I stayed up and hung out and I drank a whole bottle of wine...had to work the next day and it was literally the worst hangover I've ever had. I ate some chicken tenders at lunch and a few tacos for dinner and that was it for the whole day. Saturday, was good: just studied and ate right, but no gym. Finally made it to the gym yesterday for legs and it was nice. I smoked some cigars over the weekend, so I was getting super winded when doing squats: I regularly take 1.5 min breaks, but was having to rest for 3-4 mins between sets. Never again.

And now that the semester is over (minus finals), I get to go to the gym tonight for chest!

That's my favorite workout for hamstrings.

Scored a pro deal on mtn ops supplements. Been interested in trying them out but didn't want to pay retail for it. Might give them a shot pretty soon.

 

Did chest like night and set a new pr on flat bench...I tried to record it, but I'm an idiot and didn't realize that when I hit 'Play' on my headphones, it stopped the video to play music, so the video is me walking to the bench, sitting down, and turning my headphones on...I'll get it on film next chest day.

incline bench: 4 sets of 135 to failure
decline db bench: 4 sets of 90 to failure
chest flys: 4 sets to failure
