Okay more compressor questions. do I NEED the dual?

Realistically here's what I'd like my compressor to accomplish:
-inflate my 35s from aired down to highway psi
    -pressurize/top off my shower/sink setup (12.5L tank @ 50psi)
-Run air lockers in the future

Would the normal or compact be enough for my needs? I'm all about #EAF and #Overkill, but in the name of still being able to afford gifts for OTHER people too, it's got me thinking..

When the ridiculous fad of having 97 sets of LED lights on your truck passes you'll be happy you saved the money...

I don't know what your time's worth, so idk. I've had those on my truck for a year and they've done everything i've needed them to very well. just a shot.

Better to ask what I have not done.
larger compressor means less use to do the task meaning longer life of the compressor. a smaller one will do the job but at a longer rate making it work harder. (use is not a linear wear) so yes you can get away with smaller but you will take longer and wear out things faster

Thanks for the compressor intel. I'll do some more thinking..

Oh and @Martyinco i know you're serious, still made me laugh cuz i'm serious about that mentality too:laugh:

and @Tacoma SS I've had a 50in curved, a 12in straight, and 6 pod lights for Amazon all just about 12-13months and i've had zero problems whatsoever.
My mentality was I'll buy them cheap and if they are worth having on the truck and they break, i'll replace them with big name, big dollar lights.
I like all the locations i've had the lights, but the cheap-o's haven't broken and necessitated a replacement - well worth their cost IMO.

I don't fancy paying solely for a brand name

I've had two of those up front as ditch lights and two in the back for a while now too.
One of the rear facing ones had a row go out.
Otherwise, I flip the switch, they turn on, I see shit I couldn't see before. works for me :notsure:

To add to what @3378jakesr5 said, the twin is also 100% duty cycle and when combined with a small air tank is capable of running lower cfm air tools.

Any reason for pressurizing vs a pump?

IMO from what I've seen it's going to be more complicated than a cheap pump. The adapters, pressure relief, running the compressor when you need extra pressure, vs a $30 self priming pump that draws barely any power when in use.

I think it was $43. Combo flood/spot. Its not super great as a spot, but throws a ton of light and picks up potential hood ornaments very well.

I have a pump setup for my potable/drinking water filtration system.
The pressurized rinse water tank pressurizes as it fills, but in the event of a mid-trip refill, i'd need to re-pressurize, I could use a bike pump.
The pressurized sink/shower tank isnt the main reason i'd use the compressor, it's mostly for refilling tires. I've been having to wait & borrow other peoples compressors or try to find a gas station w air after i get off the trail

If you're ever bored and on your hood, lemme know, I'd like to check out your truck. I say that since I've been tooling around your area for most of the morning. :p
