Ladies, It's short notice but I'm heading over to scruz and Tepui to pick something up. As long as it fits in the bed, I'll pick it up for you.

Skypark is a nice area - grass fields, playground, dog park. You can also go to Roaring Camp where they have trains into Santa Cruz or into the hills. In Santa Cruz there is also Westcliff, Natural Bridges, Boardwalk, Downtown, etc. In the realm of what you're looking for?

if the weather is nice, I've always liked taking a walk at Wilder Ranch State Park just west of Santa Cruz City Limits.

my kids are 22 and 26 now, so I've sort of lost track of little kid activities around here :)
Oh! The Longs Marine Lab Discovery Center is fun and educational.

I suppose there's Roaring Camp if they are into a train ride. DO NOT EAT THERE, the food is *awful*.

Any Eastbay folks recommend a Toyota dealership? Or even an independent shop you like? My go to place used to be Stevens Creek Toyota but since I moved to Alameda I need something closer.

    Thanks

December 3rd will be the Ligthed Boat Parade at the SC Yacht Harbor, this is always fun to watch. http://www.santacruzharbor.org/announceLBP2016.html

best place to watch is from either side of the lower yacht harbor. Near Aldo's will likely be the most crowded. We've always parked elsewhere, a mile or two away, and ridden our bikes down to the harbor, but that may not be practical with a toddler...

On a side note, I think I'm overdue on a job change.

I know we have a lot of tradesmen in here. Any input? I'm a little freaked to make a move with a family and a mortgage, and being the main breadwinner, but I am pretty much living in regret the moment I step into my office every day.

If you include Highway 1 in your route, there are some very nice beaches between there and Pacifica, and you could recon Butano State Park, in the Redwoods on the side of the hills just a couple miles inland, for future camping.

Forgot what snow looked like since I moved from Iowa. Had to make the trek up the hill and see for myself.... Still the same shit.... but much more fun in a 4x4 Tacoma.
