No, not the D-rings, I was talking about what appears to be added cutouts in the side of the bed.

 

those came in the truck from when I bought it.. are yours different? Hmmmmmm

 

Yeah, I don't have those cutouts in mine. Anyone else care to weigh-in on this?

EDIT: just got done Googling some images, and it appears that most have this cutout/pocket whatever it is. It also must be something that went away between '12 & '14. I also had an '07, '09, and '11, and I honestly don't remember these.

 

What model compressor?

 

Yah ironically i looked at the pics of my 13 and it didnt have them. But the 12' has them hehe

 

Got my inverter mounted, but having second thoughts about the extent to which I'll have to cut into the bed to mount the OEM outlet. Didn't realize it would require that much cutting, I had envisioned a single small-ish cutout for the back of the outlet. Should have known it wouldn't be that simple. I'm fully capable of making neat cutouts, just apprehensive to do so.

 

Any way this tire carrier would fit a 37 inch tire? Really like the way it looks

 

thank u for the compliment.. if I remember correctly, I read that there was another member on TW out west that had a 37 inch tire mounted in his. the tire pretty much sits flat in the cradle, and it can be slid wherever you want it on the rail, so there can be plenty of clearance where it leans towards your rear window.. this is my second one, and if I had to guess, I would say it would definitely fit

 

Yah it takes a little bit of hacking. But if u do it cleanly and mount it right, no worries!

 

Just had to gather my thoughts on how to do it, and decided to make a cut template from 1/8" steel plate. Now that it's served its template purpose, I'll drill out & tap the 4 holes so it will serve as a backing/mounting plate behind the composite bed wall. Still have to run the wires & mount the outlet.

welp guys, just an update.. I gave up on trying to find the Porsche 911 I wanted, but the good news is after a few months of searching, I finally found a fun sports car that I wanted.. 2015 BMW M4. 6speed Twin Turbo Inline 6.. she loves to be driven!
