@Scooby24 , I have no drivability issues with the truck other than that delay. That sticker was applied before I bought the truck though.. I've since modified the suspension with ICON AAL/ Bilstein 5160 shock setup and removed the overload, so I'm sure it's been reduced by more than the yellow sticker.

I've had both versions of the TSB done.

The first one fixed the inability of the truck to shift into 6th if cruise control was on, but added the hated flare. Mine would flare everyday without fail on the first shift from 2nd to 3rd then not do it again unless it sat for a long period of time.

The most recent revision fixed the flare but seems to have made my 6 speed automatic turn into a 6.5 speed. Now once the truck reaches operating temperature 4th gear is just weird. The truck will shift into 4th then suddenly drop 500rpm and lugs horribly.

MPG wise the latest revision killed the mileage on the truck initially, but after the long term fuel trims have been relearned it's slowly improving. I can say for sure that if you don't use CC you will get better mileage. I know it seems counter intuitive, but for me and my truck I see a 1-2mpg increase not using CC. I have a 40 mile commute and 36 of it is interstate and I can get 20-21 without CC, 18-19 using CC. Go figure.

I think your feeling the torque converter locking when the rpms drop like that.

Mine does this in 5, and 6 gear when feathering the throttle.

Crap. I have experienced #1 and #4 since day one with the truck. I just thought it was natural for a Tacoma since this is my first Tacoma.

Mine has been all good to my knowledge. Great pulling power up inclines in the mountains. When I need power I just step on it and its there. Have never had to use the ECT button. If I want to hold a specific gear I just slap my automatic over into manual mode and that does the trick. Love the drive train on my DCLB.

Nope. I had no issue with this until the latest revision. The change is probably to mask or prevent the low temp flare. Throttle position makes no difference.

These trucks are like a post menopausal woman. Sometimes they happy and run great. Other times they dont know what they want and run bad....lol
