APS Lighted Christmas Parade in Phoenix is this Saturday. Who's going?

Thinking about going early, before roads are closed and parking my truck so I can grill and make Hot Cocoa on the tailgate.

PM me when you are sure. Seems like 5 3/4 up to 6 3/4 will fit.

Will do man. Crutchfield lists available speakers in that size range so you are probably right.

Basically all you are looking for right now is

    Lowest possible RMS
    Highest Possible Sensitivity.

Honestly, I'd highly suggest an alpine power pack and a decent component set. 22watts is about the same power output as stock. You'll end up adding a bunch of boosts in the head unit which will create distortion to get it loud enough to drive with the top off. High sensitive speakers will go to hell real fast when distortion present.

Gotcha. I'll look into the power pack. Would a simple amp be an option as well?

    Yes.

You can always run the speakers off the head unit and if they aren't living up to your expectations then add an amp or powerpack later.

What specs should I be looking for in an amp or power pack?

All depends. The power pack is 45watts RMS. Amps, the sky is the limit.

It really boils down to how much do you want to spend.

    Officially: 70 in 65 w/ a warning
Unofficially: wrapped the suitcases in black trash bags because it was raining earlier, they look like bundles of pot. I worked for PCSO, I know the game.

Roads were pure ice coming home from work today. Very slow getting home.
Glad I'm able to park in a garage and not have to deal with defrosting & warming up the truck in the morning.

Did some more research. All 4 speakers are 6 3/4 but replacements for the rear roll bar need to be 6.5 due to the shallow mounting space. 1 inch tweeters up front and no sub.

I'll compare the power packs to the amps and look at a component system. I don't want to spend a shit load of cash but I certainly don't want to replace a shitty system with a new shitty system either.

PM me your budget. What you'd like to spend, and what you are willing to spend for speakers and amp. I'll piece a few things together.
