What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I think I would b happy if the back goes up 1/2"
Is that possible with blocks ?

 

I think most 3rd gens are only about 1" higher in the rear. I just measured mine last week when I ordered everything. I am going with the 3rd Gen 5100s all around. Front set at 2" and a HeadStrong 3 leaf progressive AAL in the rear to get the 1 1/2".

You will want to put new shocks in the rear also if you do a block.

They're the same length as stock unless you have extended length in the back which is unlikely since they would be too long at stock ride height.

 

Love the Katzkin seat covers. Clear bra was installed at the same time.

 

They are not on yet. I ordered them with the HS AAL. Everything was ordered from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. Hopefully going to have everything install the end of the week!

Got my CB radio fully installed and antenna tuned. Also did an oil change at 1100 miles and glad I did! I mainly did the oil and filter for peace of mind, but there was a good amount of metal particulate in the filter. $7 for the filter and $40 for 10qts of 0w-20 Mobile 1 AFE at Walmart, well worth it!

Got my TRD pro skid plate back from the powder coater.. I'm going to try to install it later tonight. I know most of you won't like the fact that I powder coated it bronze but i kind of wanted the skid plate to stand out

 

That's not good. I did mine at 1000 miles and the filter was spotless, couldn't find a spec of anything on it. Also our engines hold 6 quarts, why buy 10?

 

I like it! I think the aluminum looks odd on many trucks.

 

It was very fine metal particles, pretty standard for a new engine. I've kept RPMs below 3k and done a mix of highway and city driving up to this point. Bought 2 5qt jugs $20 each, cheaper per qt and I'll have it for oil changes on another vehicle.
