Bridgestone Revo II, who has them?

My first time posting here. Looks to be a good site.

Anyway I was gonna get the Firestone Destination AT 265/75/16 Load C tires with the buy 3 get one free. Come to find out they do not have any left and cannot get from another Firestone company. So they offered me a more expensive tire than the Destinations and the cost is the same as the Destinations.

They offered me the Revo II in 265/75/16 but in Load E. I am still thinking it over but its a good deal. My question is the Load E. I have nev er had a Load E tire and I know a Load E is a 10-ply rate tire.

How stiff or harsh is the ride? I see some folks say they have a 3/4 ton truck and they have the same tire set up and have the front tire at 60psi and the rear tire at 50psi. We all know these Tacomas are not a 3/4 ton and even then some folks really need the 10-ply rate tires if they really haul crap daily in their line of work. I really do not haul things but I do occassionally and I have the intention of getting my kids an ATV. Can I safely run like 50/60 psi in the Revo II's to help dampen the ride? I would appreciate opinions from anyone who has these Revo II's.

So who has Load E on their tires? I know some people do but most shy away from that. I am only thinking of doing this because I got a good deal on the tires otherwise I will get something different.

I had E rated tires on my F150 - BFG. They gave the truck a real harsh ride. No lift or anything else on this truck. All stock suspension. I would not get E rated tires for the Tacoma. It is to light.

 

E's are about 10 lbs. heavier than C's. That's a lot of extra weight on each corner that you don't need.

 

don't have these tires and can't tell u anything bout them but welcome to the world.

 

I've got some 10 ply Nitto TG's, 285/65/18, and they ride way too rough for me. I would suggest against them for your truck's application.

 

Ok. Based on those who have the E rated tires this is bad mojo. I am pretty much not gonna get the Revo II tires.

Anyone know why Bridgestone developed Revo 2 without the C/D load rating tires? Once they commit to the E load tires they effectively cut off the market for mid-range trucks...seem like bad business to me.

I guess I will need to look at my original tires the Geolandar ATS and I am pretty sure they will ride better with C loads.

i have bridgestone dueler a/t revos...what load are they?...lol...they quit making them?

 

i just looked on the bridgestone website and they make 2 different revo 2's in 265/75/16... the 123r has an E load rating and weighs 48 lbs and there is also a 114t which does not have a posted load rating and only weighs 42lbs.

 

I decided against getting the Revo 2's in E load rated. I felt they were gonna be too much and this is just not what I wanted. Never said that Revo's came in C or D load rate tires...not sure where someone got that. BTW how come Bridgestone not make these Revo 2 tires in C/D load rating? Does not make sense to me. But I was offered a good deal and if I was actually looking for the D load tires and got offered the E load tires I would have went for it. But my original intent wasd getting the C load tires in Destination and it was a no dice.

In looking around it looks like not many tires are offered in C load. I think I saw kumho and possibly good year. I think Yokohama Geolandar is in the D load too but will have to go check on tirerack or discounttiredirect. I see someone mention Toyot A/T tire that is in C load so will check that out too.

With all of this snow I wish I had these tires already installed to play around in the snow...

 

i purchased revo II in a c load range from a local dealer, so i know they exist.

 

Personally id stay away from the revo IIs altogether. Great tire is the BFG all terrain or even a Hankook Dynapro ATM. I love the All Terrains though cause their 3 ply sidewall. You can get a 6 ply (C) and still have that strong sidewall.

 

ive got them for my 16" steelies.

 

I have 265/75/16 Revo 2's on backorder from Tire Rack that are standard rated. They exist.

 

265/70/16 Revo II's on my truck since Sept.

Did my mileage go down? Slightly
Do I feel they are a good tire? Yes
Harsh ride? Not that I noticed, I feel it rides better than the junk Rugged Trails.
