    Good point, other issue is if I use it for shooting then air travel I will probably get stopped quiet often due to gun powder residue.

    Yea not sure I want to make that jump yet, but maybe.

    I mostly just want something for carrying equipment to the range, hills, and can use for travel.

    Look at the kelty redwing 44. It was my goto for traveling. Worked for my flights to alaska a year ago and proved great for a big day pack. It was <$100 when I bought it off Amazon. I would probably still use it if my dog didn't chew a softball size hole in the bottom of it.

    Shit on a black truck.
    Hey folks. I grew up in GR. Currently in Seattle but may be moving back that way in the near future either Salt Lake or somewhere back in Wyoming. Had a taco for about a year but just thought I'd say hello and creep on your thread.
    Badlands packs makes good quality packs $60-$300 depending on size can do camo or black if your using for travel and they lifetime warranty them.

    @Blackdawg
    How much lift do you get by adding the main leaf from a stock pack into another stock pack?

    Nice!

    Not much. Be lucky to get an 1.5'' id say if that even. Would stiffen the ride though and increase weight capacity more then anything.

    fuck it. You have a spare, takes like an hour to do if you've done it a lot. Can't hurt to try.

    Going to pull my old 04 packs apart and give the Haze a little better weight capacity. Never messed with leafs in that way so it might take me longer than an hour lol

    Fred is a cool guy and this build is pretty sweet. Even though it's a Chevy and kind of the opposite of our tacos I still would find a lot of fun in building a huge truck like this.
