Before I get flamed , I've searched and my research shows that the Dakar pack should get you 2.5 - 2.75 " of lift over stock .

My canadian truck has the 4 leaf ( tsb ) pack which is 1" higher in the back than the stock 3 leaf US truck rear . So I was expecting to get the rear end up an additional 1.75 - 2" over my current height with the Dakars .

Just about to pull the trigger on the Toytec ULK with the Dakars and I started to follow My50cal ' s build , he is on 265/70/17 like me and has the regular Dakar pack in the back and his rear measurement is at 41" which is almost 4" above my current 4 leaf pack measurement .

What gives , I don't want to be that ass high as I only intend to go up 1.75 to 2.5 up front .

I know there is lots of guys running the Dakars , can you help a Taco Brother out and give me your rear measurement from the centre of wheel to the underside of the fender as that will eliminate any tire difference .

I want to order my lift , but I was waiting with the billies on backorder and now I'm not sure if the Dakars are the way I should go .

Thanks to all for the continued handholding ,

    Go Canucks ,

    OZ

I'm assuming you are talking about 5100s that were onbackorder at Downsouth Motorsports. They no longer are. I talked to Sony yesterday and ordered mine. He did say they were going fast!

    Good luck with your build.

I would do a full OME setup with 885 springs and 2 trim packers on the driver side. Give Toytec a call up and see what the damage is going to be

Just rattling your cage , your boys have managed a couple wins in the last few games , and Ward looked airtight in the last contest .

Alright, since you asked like 20 times. 24" from center of hubcap to bottom of fender. Just under 40" from ground to fender through the center of wheel. That's with 285/75/16 Toyo M/T's. That 41" measurement you referenced seems a bit high with 265/70/17 tires, does he have an extra leaf or something?

Finally , thanks for the input , I asked the same question about whether it was the ' basic ' Dakar pack or with the additional leaf but he said it was the regular pack .

Not too sure how that works , but whatever , thanks again for the help :D

Yes , I should have mentioned that I may do that as an option , but I just wanted to see what guys were getting in the real world for a lift from the stock pack ,

Anyone else with the Dakars ?

Just remember, the rear will almost always settle some - sometimes significantly, depending on the leaf spring and how hard you use it.

I took out the 3rd leaf from my Dakars so the ass end wasn't so high, it sits pretty level now. I have a camper shell though.

first off...how do you know the TSB gives you 1" lift? i know when i replaced my leafs w/ the TSB ones, i gained nearly nothing...

i just installed some used dakars a few weekends ago, i'll get you the center of the axle to bottom of the wheel well measurements if you would like.
