Went with 10s.. the deaver j59 pack doesn't really give that much lift so 10s worked perfect and the pack still flexes amazing

Word! Just ordered me some 10s too, not as nice as yours though.....just remote resis without the dampening adjuster....I have the AllPro standards but didn't want to go 12s, I believe AllPro claims 10" of travel and I'm gonna attempt to go more || than /\ but we will see....shooting for this https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tophers-build.303801/page-7#post-8867779

Yeah I'm probably gonna end up with the same angle as yours....but I'm ok with that! Just dreading my 4-8week shock build time

Is that your parking brake cable behind the axle? Did you relocate it somehow? Mine sits on top of the axle.

    Edit-

Not on top of the axle, but much higher than yours. Passes over my leaf pack.

It seems to vary between years. I can't remember what the reason was for. Mine is a 96, no ABS. and the cable is on top like yours.

Ordered sliders last night. What does everyone use to repaint the frame around the scab plates after welding? Just rattle can it, or go with something better? I'm planning to rattle can it and keep an eye on it unless yall think otherwise. I have a nice, rust-free frame and I want to keep it that way.

That's handy. Wish mine was the same.

As stated by some of the other guys, it varies by different years. I probably would have preferred on top but...:notsure:

I would rather have it like yours. With the dakars + the axle relocate plates, the cable rests on top of the springs. It's not enough to bother anything, but I don't think I could add the Dakar AAL without putting too much stress on the cable.

No handy at all , I can't even boil my eggs and I did not take pictures...I'm with you they are fcrazy..lol.

I attached the paperwork they gave me, I believe the 831 and 142 are for labor , leaving the 1,835 and 284 for parts (hand writting at picture)

Is Camelback OEM or generic parts ?
With Only 58,413 miles on the truck , how in hell 1st owner mess up the original brakes ?
Skid plates are bit up, I quote to make some time there for those are 325 the front one and 175 the skinny one, Crazy !
I'm always towards OEM parts, but if these got shot and this is not everyday job, should I look for UPGRADED brakes and
Do I need to upgrade the front ones at same time ? ( They didn't mention anything about front ones , so assuming good:annoyed:

Does anyone have good experience with other kind of brakes for the REAR to buy the full kit \ set ? Warranties ? I been thinking on those JUST BRAKES, PepBoys , Midas , Firestone, or any other place you may recommend to get an HONEST 2nd opinion ?

I know is asking to much of honest from franchise chains. Obviously I don't have that budget, maybe a 1K sounds more fair?IMG_0613.jpg

Thank you in advance to all of you TW for sharing your views and knowledge, It sucks because I was planning a 2,400 miles round trip soon and this sour the plans with the TACOMA, Please jump on advise if you can, tks, see ya :(
