Because you can pick up a 14 bolt for under 300. My rear sterling 10.25 was 750. That's a big difference on a budget when you really need to rebuild it since it's already out. I have the sterling 10.25 and d60 front with little under 7g in the axles

 

If I really had the money I would run two 14 bolts front and rear. Just run the crane knuckle kit to make it have steering up front

 

The e locker is a 8. I wonder why it's smaller.
