Someone hit me while I was parked at Lowe's, and I had my insurance company cover it. And it was supposedly "no fault" coverage. Guy at the shop told me if/when my rate goes up next time it comes due next year, to call and argue it with them, as 1) it wasn't my fault, and 2) like you I haven't had to use my insurance ever (*knock on wood). I honestly have no idea if it's going to go up or not, but I also know I didn't want to pay the $1400 in body work it took to fix this:

AllPro Offroad. It is their diy weld kit. I Had it Line X'd. I really like it because it looks a lot beefier than most.

    What a fun truck!

    1. Mount your lights. These are two strips of four.
    2. Run wiring into cab. Do this by finding a route from the truck bed to under the driver's side of your taco. There are holes, you just need to find them underneath your trim pieces.
    3. Combine the power wires between the lights. Combine the grounds or negative wires between the lights
    4. Install add a circuit and connect power wire.
    5. Remove harness from factory switch, and tap your combined ground wires to the blue wire in the harness as shown below.
    6. Reassemble your trim pieces, and enjoy.
Cargo Light Tap: I ran the power wires from the lights to my fuse box with an add a circuit, then tapped the cargo light wire that connects to the factory switch.

Factory Switch Tap: (Note: some people will say that you should use a relay, but i didn't need one for these little lights)
Blue Tap is me combining the grounds (-) on the two strips of LEDs, and the red tap is me tapping the (-) from the lights to the factory switch.

You may have noticed a light bar on the back. Install video here: https://youtu.be/B3sKxN6Dv88

No, these work the same as your existing cargo light. You can have it always on, only when the door is open, or off. Just use the factory switch.

Not quite true. Due to the geometry of the front suspension, you are correct that a spacer will provide more lift than the thickness of the spacer. However it's not a 1:2 ratio. It's not true that a 1" spacer will give you 2" of lift and a 2" spacer will give you 4". Determine how much lift you want, and order a kit for that. Example, a 3" spacer lift should give you 3", but the front spacer will not be 3" thick.

You are correct for a block in the rear. 1" block = 1" lift.

Talked to my agent. It won't affect my rate based on it not being my fault. It sounds like they'll call it a hit and run. But, I'm responsible for the deductible.

Also reached out to my Toyota dealership to get me some pricing for replacement or repair.

This is exactly what I am about to do with my truck. I want to connect them to my cargo lights as well so they turn on when opening the doors. Etc. can you take me by a step by step process of how you did that and provide me pics please. I have wiring and everything I need. Just not 100% sure I'm connecting to correct fuse or relay. I know the cargo fuse is under the dash in my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Not sure if there is another one under the hood or not. Did you install a switch that illuminates. If so, did you attach it to a relay or like the TAIL fuse which I believe is the parking lights fuse. Thanks for any help you can provide me with. Thank You!

In order to have them come on with the tailgate I believe you would need to install a grounding switch for when you tailgate closes it turns off and when you open your tailgate it turns on. You can order those switches online. I just got mine. Also install a switch in the truck for if you are hauling something with the tailgate down, you don't want your LeDs on as well. Food for thought.

Had Allstate for 25 years and this happened to me without being in a accident or ticket for 15 years. They increased my insurance by 40% and I flipped. Called them and requested reasoning behind it and so on. Basically told me to kick rocks so I told them I would drop them after 25 years of loyalty. Didn't budge even with that.

So I called USSA and my insurance dropped by 20% right off the bat. If you are military or have a family member and this happens with your current insurance, go to USSA.

I dropped mine off at the body shop. When my window was smashed, the glass cut the paint pretty good on the door. Well the body shop painted my door but never removed the vinyl on the b-pillar. So when I decided to remove my b-pillar vinyl last week, I was left with uneven paint and a huge line going across of just clear coat. So I reemed them out for cutting corners pretty good and i'm being taken care of.

Is there a way to still tap into the cargo lights with having its own switch added to my dash so I don't have to use the factory cargo light switch or no? Thanks for the details tho. I already have a Add-a-Fuse for my cargo fuse as well. I was just trying to figure out the ground wiring, whether it be to the battery or how you did it here.

    Thank You!

Unless you live in RI and you get told that your auto is going up 100 per 6 months due to the fact that you live in this state. Otherwise, USAA is good.

This. I bought my truck through them. Even when dealerships won't take TrueCar, they will match USAA pricing.
