does not fit my 2014 no matter what the package says
brackets are too thick to fit between the light and the tailgate
CarID won't take them back because I tried to install them
brand new but plier marks all over the brackets..

grind down the brackets with dremel, paint, install.

 

i thought about that but i'd rather have the money and get a light bar. thank you!

 

The brackets do not go between the lights and the tailgate.

You need to remove the lights and slide the bracket between the lights and the hole in the body. The bracket holes line up with the two mounting screws.

 

I'm aware of how to mount them. Thank you though.

I just bought some used ones from a member here and I got them to fit. I had to push real hard to squeeze the bracket against the gate frame.



Mine is a 2012, so I don't see where there could be a gap issue with your 2014 !!???
