Try to hide your Texan pride though... they don't like us much in Colorado!

They don't like us, but they like our money.... We were chatting up one of the shop owners in old town Durango and they said they wouldn't be in business if it weren't for all the Texans coming through.

Me and some of the guys going to Gilmer in January are planning a Colorado trip in the summer. Can't wait to go back but I need to get my ass in gear on the trailer building.

No one said anything to me... but then again they may have seen my plates and decided not to bother with it. Had a guy flip me off coming off the mountains. Dude was driving 10 under the limit and had a line of cars behind him. I was just lucky enough to be the guy directly behind him... He gave me the bird as i passed him while he was turning right. Maybe he was new to Colorado too. Probably from California with the way he was driving.

Well i just ordered my sliders today. so i doubt they will be here by January... I have heard good things about Gilmer though, im just nervous about wheeling due to my last trip had a close call with a tree that could have damaged my rocker panel/ doors. I was wheeling the morning after it rained all night and everything was very slippery. When it was dry i wasnt too worried...

I also had a close call on that trip..... I don't think my sliders were going to help either. lol.

Cool Pics from CO. I haven't been snowboarding in a few years, but I have been going to the Alpine Loop area in the summer every year since I was a kid, probably over 20 trips. I highly recommend it. The main trails out there are easy for a stock 4x4, the others can get interesting.

Come out to find out. Is a Tacoma as capable as a wrangler? No. But they are very capable and you can still have a lot of fun in one.

Its hard to not go to Hawaii. Went there a bunch growing up in Cali. I might be going in Sept/Oct but i'm thinking I would rather go to other places that I havent been to or been able to explore enough. What Island are you going to?

If you like traveling and the mountains, Colorado is a must. I only spent 4 days there and explored all across the southern part of the sate and it was very memorable. I will make many more trip over the next few years and I porob still wont see everything i want to.

How long is the Lead time on your sliders? Mines 6 weeks from Mobtown Offroad. Well worth the wait for the piece of mind and the product that you want!

I'm going to try my hardest to make it to Gilmer. I really want to get out offroading with people so i can learn more about what I'm doing in a 4x4 offroad! I'm hoping my sliders get here and I can paint/install them by then:fingerscrossed:. I'll be coming solo and while my truck will be all stock suspension i'll have empty seats that anyone is welcome to fill and tell me how bad my off road driving is!

Count me in for the January trip. I would like to learn some stuff as well. I'm new to all this also and it would be nice to have a few to help me along.

Meh I took mine to bridgeport as a total newb and bone stock. Only problem I had was I pinstriped the passenger side and bent my steps. Both were due to driver error. The pinstripe buffed out.
