I just got my OME Dakar leaf packs In today. Upon inspecting them, i found both front bushings to be offset to one side. The pair mirror each other with the same offset on opposite sides.

I've always read it doesn't matter which pack goes on which side. But, it sure seems like it the way these bushings are set up. One side is flush and the other protrudes.

    Advice?

    ***both leaf packs are "+"

Both mine are "-".. Haven't installed yet but the + means a little taller than spec and the minus = less height but still in spec... Their still laying on my garage floor.. I'll take a look at the bushings next time I am out there.

I've never seen one before but perhaps the arrow should point towards the front?

    Yes. Of course.

I'm asking about the front bushings being offset in the leaf

    Not taller, per se.

It means they tested for higher load than spec.

People would love to get a matched pair over spec.

Well, if anyone wants to trade, hit me up!!! I've been thinking about removing the 3rd leaf. I'm on the edge. I think going from + to a - would be a good compromise

Yeah they're both offset and the protrusion will be inboard on both when installed with the arrow forward

If you don't need the lift of the full pack or the payload capacity then by all means pull a leaf.

I wouldn't look too far into the spec rating though.

I've thought about that. But they look like they were produced like this on purpose. Not sure.

Nah I doubt it, cause it doesn't matter which side you put them on, though most people put the heavier spec on the driver side.

That's why I say it's not by design, if you used one vs the other x side then the protrusion of the bushing would be different. Either on inside or out depending which spring went on the first side. If it was by design then it is likely it would have to be one way or the other.
