another great thing about kydex is that it is a hard cover over the trigger guard which wont allow a trigger pull. and unless you carry an old shool SA revolver that can have a bump fire, a gun wont go off without pull the trigger. revolvers have a transfer bar that require the trigger pulled all the way back before the firing pin can make contact so even if you pull the hammer back and let it go before it locks it wont fire, and I don't think there are anyways to make a semi-auto go off without pulling the trigger either.

I'm not so worried about a discharge as I am being comfortable with a gun being shoved into my gut and thigh

Honestly that's one of the big reasons I don't appendix carry. When I sit down it digs into my thigh. Plus, I'm a smaller guy so appendix prints a lot more than a 5 or 6 o'clock carry does.

That's where I carry when I'm open carrying while hiking or camping, or if I'm carrying OWB concealed with a jacket, like I sometimes do during the winter. But if I'm concealing with a T-shirt or a flannel or something (as is common during the spring/summer/fall) I just can't manage much other than a lower back carry without it printing. I just don't have the frame for it.

its just something I had to play with to get comfortable ish, I let the barrel ride between my right thigh and my middle thigh haha, I also wear an under shirt tucked in and it keeps the holster off my body too

I carry AIWB all the time...I'm about 6'2" and 195lbs

I do occasionally have to adjust when I sit in the truck but that's usually because I didn't have the holster in the right place to begin with

It takes some fine tuning, and a good holster to find the optimal spot between your gut, junk, thigh, and how high you wear your pants...and what gun you carry

Did you install the red dot on the glock or have it done? just wondered what the cost would be and how well it works?

I've used the Galco for my various commanders for the last 10 years or so. It works.

I carry appendix with my xds 3.3 in an M3 tactical kydex holster that also incorporates a spare mag. I like it better than 3:30 personally, but only for single stack subcompacts. My 1911 still goes to the 3:30 position. I feel like with the appendix I can keep a closer eye on if I'm printing or not, and it's easier for me to draw. The only special thing I do is tuck my shirt and seat belt behind the holster when I get in my truck, so I can draw while inside the vehicle if need be free from obstructions.

I still don't see how appendix carry is comfortable sitting.

Its really not that bad u just cant hunch over, just a little bit of recline makes it almost unnoticeable. I wear my gun ~15 hours every day, i work on a forklift and at a desk so a good bit of sitting also.

Hmmm, maybe I can try it out. The Alien Gear is just a little "big" of an IWB holster to do it with I feel

I also wear my belt buckle at 10 o'clock it seems, at least in my head, to save a little room and never runs a risk of gettin in the way.
