    I know we discussed this a few weeks back, but any tips on the drum brake shoe replacement? Should I get the drum turned and do I need the spring compressor tool or can I rig up something else really quick?

    I think it'll be pretty straight forward other than those two questions

    do one side at a time so you can look at the other side to make sure it goes back together correctly.

    one side at a time works best like he said above, especially if your hesitant on doing them.

    Thanks ya I plan on one at a time :thumbsup:, I'm not hesitant tho i just don't have the retaining spring tool and Im wondering if ppl typically get their drums turned

    no need to turn drums.unless heat cracks.for retaining tool (assuming you are talking about the one to push the coiled spring on the pin)
    you can use a nut driver with socket.

    I was able to do my rear drums with a flat head screw driver (to adjust the star wheel), and a pair of vice grip pliers for everything else.

    There's a handy-dandy tool that makes disassembly of the retainer springs a snap - I used Dennis's when we did mine.

    Anyone know how to get power to light my aux light switches? None of the fuse taps I've bought fit the truck. Also the ground wire is too short to the only screw I can find. Can I just extend the ground wire with a butt connector?

    That's good. When I ground the switches without power they light up. Which is weird. Still don't know where to wire them in for power though.
