What's the TW preferred/recommended clutch kit and flywheel combo with stock power levels?

I searched and came across recommendations for the Aisin kit while others recommend the URD kit or even the LCE kit. For flywheels, there is stock or lightweight or heavy, so which one for just regular street driving?

I have no plans for any engine mods so while my tendency would be to get a light flywheel and a heavier pressure plate clutch, I'm not sure I really need one or want to deal with a heavier pedal and other characteristics of a heavy duty clutches.

The AISIN kit uses the OEM components. I have both in hand and the components are identically marked. IMO you can't go wrong with the OEM/AISIN components for what you are doing.

^^ Yup the OEM Aisin clutch kit. Don't go with one of those cheap chinese eBay kits, I've heard bad things.

Thanks all for the recommendation, I'll go with the Aisin kit then.

What about a flywheel? Stick with stock or go lighter or heavier? Better accel would be nice but I don't know if it would make the truck a pain to drive in traffic.

You don't wanna go buy stock flywheel and stock clutch kit from Toyota? I have a 6speed as well, really interested about this topic, but I am off roading a lot so more info would always help

Flywheels on stock vehicles are usually resurfaced and replaced only if damaged beyond repair. I'd say stay with the one you have or replace it with another stock one...

My stock flywheel has 120k+ on it and no clue on the condition since I bought the truck used. An aftermarket one (like from URD) is cheaper than a stock one, so why not upgrade is my line of thought.

Resurfacing the stock one is probably the least expensive option. I'm not sure what the driving characteristics are with a lighter flywheel. I imagine it could cause the clutch to be a bit jerky due to the lower rotating mass which helps smooth the shifts.

If you tow or haul heavy payloads go for a heavier flywheel. If you want to rev it like a racer bro go lighter.

Just for future reference a lighter flywheel will not make your vehicle accelerate any faster, it does allow the engine revs to spin up and drop quicker (when not in gear) however so in many applications it can make rev matching easier and more enjoyable. But with a truck I can hardly see the point.

Heavy[er] flywheel will help for offroading and towing.

Mike from LC Engineering can get you squared away.
