My headlights looked worse than my doors (from off road). I had the dealer replace them with new ones back in '15.

The new ones are still looking very good.

I hear you on the headlight application, feels risky, IMO.

Rather recently I had the truck detailed and they used some Meguiars cleaner wax, and Meguiars NXT Tech Wax on the head lights, and the whole truck. I sort of cringed when he was doing the headlights, as I've been taught to keep the wax away from plastics, etc. But it worked. The whole truck looked amazing afterwards. I couldn't believe it.

I am a fan of Meguires. They make good stuff. :)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Headlight-P...ash=item2cb3a1e542:g:B3wAAOSwPCVX-~gu&vxp=mtr seen these but I read reviews and they are a sketchy install, I don't want to throw them out in a fit of rage when I cant get them properly placed, I had done the door handles and had 4 pieces for 2 doors so for $10 I had 2 extras if I couldn't get them on, with these you got 1 shot to do it right or $50 in the shiter

If you know how to solder than fixing the compass/thermometer is a semi easy fix

Here is a frugal mod, I think.

About a month ago, I installed a putting green, er, I mean, some low profile outdoor carpet on my aluminum tailgate reinforcement skin.

It was $8 for a big roll at the the home store bought last year. I've used it for a few projects now.

$5 for some double stick carpet tape. So far so good!

    Too few to list.
Inside the door handle is probably the only place that doesn't have a scratch.

I share the same concern. So far it's held up to severe off road vibrations. Real test in my mind is gonna be summer heat. If it holds there, then all good.

I used the light on that mount several times setting up a spread of goose hunting decoys, setting up camp at night, and once for late night roadside repairs to a friends truck. Have to do something different now that I have a Softopper though.

One improvement I would suggest is to make two 90 degree bends right above where the knob holds it to the rail. That way you can just swing it down into the bed if you need to drive a short distance but will want to use the light again. Like when traveling between fishing spots or something.

I think I've seen that somewhere on here before. It's a DIY replacement for the washer fluid reservoir I believe.

I have had door cup protectors for the last 4 years on both my vehicles and have been very happy with how they work and I really like how they look. I have several neighbors that bought after seeing mine. Check out cupeez.com-these are magnetic and available in different colors. I paid $29.95 for 4 and have the carbon fiber.
