So the other day I felt a small buzzing noise, and the next day it turned into a huge leak that lead to the car running like shit because the exhaust leak was causing the engine to run super rich. I am sure the cat melted because I smelled some weird shit with smoke coming inside the cabin. Long story short, they gave me a new exhaust minus the header and she's running good again.

Just thought it was interesting. I am running 33s with a 2.7L on stock gears. It's got me thinking if this whole ordeal is because the engine gets pushed hard so the engine flexes a lot wearing out the exhaust pipe and probably motor mounts. Alternatively it can be toyota quality or lack there of, or simply a one in a thousand bad part. I never looked into finding out if the gasket gave out or the pipe it self cracked. Probably gasket though. But the dealership handled this issue very promptly and without headache. It was down for 1 day and other than this I havn't had any issues so no hate for toyota quite yet.

The interesting part however is that the service writer also entered for me to get my 20k oil change. But judging from the oil level, oil color, drain bolt and filter they only over pressurized my tires! lol. I will be having a discussion with them on whether we need to file a claim with toyota on fraud or not. They are a huge dealership in the area. It's a 52 bay warehouse. I am sure with volume like that toyota will not miss this. Let's so how this goes.

Hope you get your problem fixed. Your poor 4 cyclinder is working hard to push 33s. My 3.5l is a little sluggish with 33s and no regear. Your truck must be a snail with tires that big.

Uh..I didn't ask a question. It being a manual wouldnt suddenly make it powerful enough to do just fine with 33s.

I was joking. 5th gear is pretty much useless with the 33s so i was making a joke about the car being a 4 spd.
