Possibly, but the 22re is what legends are made of, tough call.

    Oops......Are you talking about the 3.0 V6? Or the 2.7 4 cyl.

3.0L V6. haha. I'm hoping it will live to the legend of the 22re.

My son bought a 1995 4x4 Toyota pickup with the 3.0L V6. When he got it from the original owner there were 233,000 miles on the untouched engine. Then when he finally sold the truck it had 326,000 miles on it. While it wasn't as strong as when he first got it, that engine still ran good, burned no excess amount of oil, and always got the job done. ..So, yea, I'd say that a good faithfully serviced 3.0L has all the right stuff to be called a legend!

Awesome! I hope mine will last just as long. Of course I won't baby it as much as you will.

I had an 89 toyota truck extra cab with a 6 inch lift, 2 inch body lift, 33x12.50 on 15x12's and NO ENGINE WORK done except for a drop in K&N air filter and Flowmaster muffler and it ran like a charm. Sold it when it had 236,000 miles. YES the engine is very reliable!!!

I had a 90 & 95, neither V6 had warranty work or engine mods & drove well over 200k. The old 95 is still driven daily by a friend today. On the 1990, well the body rusted off before the engine died. So my thoughts are mine were pretty damn good with the exception of body rot ;)
