    Yaesu FT-1900R w/ 2m/70cm Comet SBB-224 antenna, Cobra 19 DX IV w/ 4ft Francis CB24 Hot Rod antenna, Uniden Bearcat BC355N 800Mhz mobile scanner (analog), an external BNC mount routed to inside the cab for a handheld fire/police scanner or HAM HT's, Rancho RS5000 front struts and rear shocks, 6in KC Daylighter (pencil beam), 15x7 Black Rock Wheels Series 942, 31x10.50R15 Firestone Destination AT, fog lights, COBRA antenna hood mount (this is used to mount the GoPro on to)
    I don't have any experience with that radio myself, but reading the specs, it looks to be a nice unit for sure! The low/high wattage output of 10W/50W, respectively, is nice. I recommend running 10W majority of the time so that you don't overheat the radio unneccessarily!!! You can run the 50W, but what would typically happen is the radio will get to a certain temp and shutdown to "protect itself". Then when temps are okay, you are able to use the radio again. Thus, I recommend running the lower power most of the time, but that is up to the end user on how they want to run the unit/rig. Regarding the mag mount that it comes with, I'm not personally fond of magmounts, especially during "desert high speed wash runs" because the magmount will surely work its way off of your cab and/or wherever it is located and fall off... a most likely scenario!!! BUT, with that said, I'm sure there would be a way that can be "fixed"?! Anyways, for best results, I would run/use the antenna that it came with since it will most likely "match" the outputs of both HAM and "off band" frequencies that would be used with the radio?!

    AND, yes, Greg is correct about the wattage for sure as well as the handheld units. The handheld units are definitely good enough for short range comms. If you put the antenna outside, somehow, you can efficiently "increase range" because you're NOT TX'ing from within the cab of your truck!!! Even on 5W, or thereabouts, you can get quite a few miles out just as long as, again, the antenna to the handheld is somehow fixed to the outside of the cab for best transmission.

    hey guys im really up in the air on how i want my custom bed rack for my new Roof top tent.. PLEASE HELP ME !!! i want it to sit low, like i just want it to sit under the window line or maybe even lower, but i MUST be able to fit roto pax on the sides, i need to figure this out ASAP, anyone have any good ideas, @Yotamac is having to deal with my indecisiveness lol HELP
